Exclusive vs. shared home service leads
What exclusivity actually means
An exclusive lead is supplied to one contractor under the seller’s agreed terms. A shared lead is supplied to multiple contractors. Ask whether exclusivity applies to the inquiry, the territory, or both, and for how long.
Compare the total economics
A lower lead price can still produce a higher customer acquisition cost if fewer inquiries become jobs. Compare equal time periods and record contact rates, estimates, wins, and cost.
Questions to put in writing
Who receives the lead? Can it be resold later? Is the homeowner expecting your company to contact them? What source and consent details accompany it? What are the credit rules?
